Every child deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive. Brighton Center is San Antonio's largest nonprofit supporting nearly 5,000 children with disabilities and developmental delays in our community through pediatric therapy, early childhood education, and special education support services.
Why I'm Supporting Brighton Center for Big Give
Brighton Center’s mission matters to me because I believe every child deserves to feel safe, loved, supported, and capable of reaching their full potential. Working with young children has shown me that the little moments can make a lasting impact—helping a child through a difficult drop-off, celebrating a new friendship, encouraging a child to use their words, or simply being the consistent adult who helps them feel secure enough to explore and learn.
My “why” is knowing that the work we do goes beyond teaching lessons. We are helping children build confidence, relationships, communication skills, independence, and a sense of belonging during some of the most important years of their development. I also value the partnership we build with families. When we communicate, listen, and work together to support a child, we create a stronger foundation for that child to grow.
One of the most meaningful parts of my work is seeing progress that may seem small to someone else but is huge for a child and their family—watching a child who once struggled with transitions begin to feel comfortable, seeing a child make a new friend, or helping a child find a positive way to express what they need. Those moments remind me why this work matters.
I support Brighton Center because I want to be part of a community that invests in children and families and recognizes that every child has their own strengths, needs, and potential. Being able to make a child feel seen, supported, and celebrated is what makes this work so meaningful to me.
