WHAT OUR COMMUNITY TOLD US

In CRRC’s Thrift Store survey, 74% of respondents said the store assists households experiencing financial hardship. Community feedback also recognized the Thrift Store as a trusted place to donate, a source of affordable necessities, a way to reduce waste, and an important source of support for CRRC programs.

“The thrift store and food pantry distribute much-needed household and food items in a way that preserves dignity and gives clients a top-notch shopping experience.”

WHAT WE KNOW

In all of 2025, CRRC vouchers supported 247 household members. In 2026, CRRC has already provided vouchers to 606 household members—more than twice as many before the year is even over. Clothing, household goods, and daily essentials are becoming more expensive for neighbors already living paycheck to paycheck.

HOW RENEW WORKS

CRRC clients may receive a $20–$25 Thrift Store gift card and shop for the items they choose. The card looks and works like any other gift card, creating a discreet and dignified experience. Clients do not have to publicly identify themselves as assistance recipients or accept items selected for them.

Every dollar raised through Renew will be placed into the client voucher program for the remainder of 2026 and the beginning of 2027.

A gift of $25 provides one dignified Thrift Store shopping opportunity for a neighbor.
