Close to Home works to ensure everyone in San Antonio and Bexar County has a place to call home by bringing our community together around coordinated strategy, policy, and systems change.
This year for Big Give, we’re raising funds for two efforts especially close to my heart. ❤️
Lived Expertise Advisory Board & Youth Action Board
We’re raising funds to ensure people who have experienced homelessness have the resources and support to participate in the decisions, policies, and strategies that shape our homeless response system. Their voices and expertise are essential to building a system that works.
Billy Bundles
Created in honor of Billy Mahone III, Billy Bundles are small resource kits that provide practical items and an opportunity for connection with our unhoused neighbors. They give community members a simple, meaningful way to engage with someone experiencing homelessness, offer support, and see the person behind the experience of being unhoused.
🎉 BONUS: Everyone who donates through my fundraising page, at any amount, will be entered into a drawing for a Microcurrent Facial with Graceful Healing Arts! The winner will be announced Friday, September 25.
