Welcome to Hope on Wheels! Haven's Outreach Team has partnered with Operations Support to fundraise for Haven for Hope. The Outreach Team engages with our unsheltered neighbors to provide essential resources to them and encourage them to seek shelter. It can take up to 7 meaningful interactions with an unsheltered client to earn their trust. Our work is rewarding, humbling, and essential.
Haven for Hope is located in downtown San Antonio, and we are dedicated to empowering individuals and families experiencing homelessness. Since 2010, Haven has addressed the root causes of homelessness by offering programming tailored to the specific needs of the individual. Through a person-centered, trauma-informed approach, clients are offered a bed, warm meals, and access to numerous resources, including ID recovery, housing assistance, workforce development, counseling, classes, and other support services.
Haven partners with more than 75 agencies to help provide the resources our clients need to transform their lives out of homelessness. Haven clients also have access to a hair care center, a post office, a medical clinic, dental, and vision care. Since its inception, Haven for Hope has served more than 53,000 individuals.
Haven's goal for The Big Give is $112,000. Our team goal is $3,000. The funds will be used to further our mission and secure linens, mattresses, and other essentials we use for our clients. Every dollar is appreciated and guaranteed to go towards helping someone in need.
