We are the staff of Green Spaces Alliance, and we are giving first.
We are the ones out in the heat planting Tiny Forests in San Antonio's hottest zip codes. We walk the ranch land over the Edwards Aquifer with families who have decided to protect it forever. We hand a camera to a kid who has never held one and watch her find a heron in a creek she has driven past her whole life. We kneel in garden beds beside neighbors who are growing their own food for the first time.

Here is what we are asking. Green Spaces Alliance's Big Give goal is $5,000, and our staff team wants to raise $1,000 of it from the people who know us best, you. Gifts start at $5, and that is not a throwaway number. A $5 gift buys seeds for a garden bed; $25 fills it with soil and tools; $50 puts a camera in a kid's hands for Picture Your World; $100 helps a landowner take the first steps toward protecting their land for good.
One thing this work has taught us: once open land is gone, it is gone forever. San Antonio is one of the fastest-growing cities in America, and every acre we protect now is an acre our grandchildren can still stand on. There is no undo. There is only what we choose to keep while it is still here.
