Brighton Center is San Antonio's largest nonprofit supporting nearly 5,000 children with disabilities and developmental delays in our community through pediatric therapy, early childhood education, and special education support services.

Why I'm Supporting Brighton Center for Big Give

I have been with Brighton for a little over 2 years now. I am so impressed with the care and compassion of everyone that works at Brighton. Everyone has a true commitment to providing quality care for all of our clients. Our littles are our main priority. Brighton's mission matters to me because I have seen first-hand what a huge impact early childhood intervention has on a child. As a physical therapist I have had the joy of seeing little ones with complex medical needs roll, sit, crawl and take their first steps. I've seen a child on a trach and vent walk with a gait trainer, a child on continuous feedings walk carrying her feeding back pack. The pride the little one has when taking those first steps, and the absolute joy in their parents' faces when they see their little one accomplish what was at one time an uncertainty.  I've also had the pleasure of helping parents navigate the fear and uncertainty of bringing home their premature baby who has been in the NICU for month and see those parents and their infant thrive as they learn to bond and care for their newborn baby. Why does Brighton Center’s mission matter to me? Because I have seen the beautiful impact that Brighton has on the children and families we serve.
