Today, the state of Texas is under attack. Our coastlines are shrinking due to rising seas and the melting of ice caps, severe weather patterns bring flooding to communities causing loss of life, homes, and native wildlife.

We are seeing increases in temperatures causing our fragile power grid to teeter on failure.

Behind the scenes, EarthShare Texas is out here supporting the organizations fighting to protect our communities, our wildlife, and our open spaces.

As Executive Director of EarthShare Texas, I have the privilege of seeing this work up close.

For more than 30 years, EarthShare Texas has worked to ensure that environmental nonprofits with the knowledge and ability to protect Texas have the resources and support they need to do it.

We help support on-the-ground work at Big Bend, community resiliency in San Antonio, coastal conservation in the Gulf, quietly working to ensure organizations with the knowledge and ability have the resources they need to preserve and protect Texas far into the future.

Much of our work happens quietly. We aren't the organization restoring every habitat, protecting every waterway, or conserving every acre. We support the organizations that are.

That's what makes EarthShare Texas so important to me.

Why San Antonio Matters
