Help Deedra Move Our Neighbors Closer to Home

I’m proud to serve on the Board of Directors for NB Housing Partners and support the work of an organization helping individuals move from homelessness toward stability and permanent housing.

This Big Give, I’m raising funds for NB Housing Partners’ First Footing Program as part of our overall $10,000 campaign goal.

First Footing provides adults experiencing homelessness with a safe place to stay and a hand up toward housing through shelter, employment assistance, income recovery, supportive guidance, and housing-focused case management.

The need in our community remains significant. More than 500 individuals seek help after experiencing homelessness each year. NB Housing Partners has worked to meet that growing need, increasing shelter capacity by 57%, but even with that expansion, the waiting list continues to exceed the number of shelter beds available.

That means there are still neighbors in our community waiting for a safe place to sleep and the support they need to take their next steps toward housing stability.

My personal goal is to raise $500 during Big Give. Every gift, whether it’s $25, $50, $100, or simply sharing this fundraiser with someone you know, helps provide shelter and support while bringing our neighbors one step closer to home.
