This is my first-year fundraising during The Big Give, and I am super excited to do my part in supporting our organization’s mission!!

My CASA journey all started after I came across the YouTube video - Emily's Dragon - and the feeling that I could be one of the adults to help change a child's story just took over! It is a powerful video and I highly recommend carving out eight minutes of your time to view it.

As a CASA volunteer advocate/Guardian ad litem and CASA Supervisor with CASA of Central Texas, I've seen firsthand what it means for a child to have someone show up for them consistently - not as another case number in an overwhelmed system, but as a steady adult who listens, learns their story, and fights for their best interests in court.

Your donation doesn't just support an organization- it helps ensure that a child facing an unimaginably hard chapter of their life has someone who sees them, believes in them, and advocates for the safe, stable futures they deserve.

No amount is too small and every dollar donated through The Big Give helps CASA recruit, train, and support volunteer advocates doing this vital work in Central Texas. If you're able, please consider making a gift to support this mission. Your generosity helps ensure children in our community have a voice, a champion, and hope for a brighter future!

One of the most exciting opportunities during The Big Give is the Wurstfest Power Hour on September 24 from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m., when CASA is eligible for matching funds. I will share the fundraiser again the morning before Power Hour!

In addition, there are 890 state organizations and local programs in 49 states so if you are interested in volunteering in your area, feel free to check out the National CASA website for more information 😊

Thank you for trusting me on this, and for caring about kids that you may never meet but who will carry your kindness with them!
