A Safe Place Can Change Everything

Every day, I meet people who are facing some of the most difficult moments of their lives. Many arrive at our shelter exhausted, scared, and uncertain about what tomorrow will bring. Some are dealing with serious health challenges, mental health crises, or the effects of living without stable housing.

As part of the Life Safety and Acute Care Services team, my role is to help ensure that every person who walks through our doors has access to a safe environment and the immediate care they may need. Whether it's responding to a medical emergency, connecting a client with healthcare services, supporting someone in crisis, or helping maintain the safety systems that protect our shelter, our team is committed to preserving dignity, health, and hope.
