Kathy's 7Ten Activity Center Fundraiser

There's a quiet kind of loneliness that can creep in as we age — and it's something I think about often when it comes to the seniors in our own community.

That's why I'm fundraising for the Comal County Senior Citizens Foundation’s 7Ten Activity Center during The Big Give SA on September 23-24.

The 7Ten isn't just a building. It's the place that provides a hot meal delivered with a smile to a senior who lives alone. It's where friendships are made over a fitness or craft class. It's where someone who might otherwise spend the day in silence gets to laugh, learn, and belong.

• A place for real fellowship and connection
• Fitness classes that help seniors stay independent, longer
• Educational opportunities that keep the mind curious

This is a small nonprofit, but the difference it makes in someone's day — and in someone's life — is enormous. I'm asking you to give not because it's easy, but because our seniors gave so much to build the community we live in now. It's our turn to show up for them.
