Capt. Athan Abuyun, a recipient of a Flight 9 Scholarship in 2020 while an ROTC Cadet at the University of Cincinnati has earned his wings. Following completion of UPT, he became an HC-130 pilot. He is currently flying out of Moody AFB and loves the search and rescue mission! Daedalian support reflects a direct investment in the aviation talent pipeline as our students pursue and achieve their goals to serve as rated military aviators.

Flight scholarships supported by Frank P. Lahm Flight #9 empower the next generation with the resources and experience needed to actively and competitively position themselves for success on their journey to earning their wings. Daedalian scholarships reflect our commitment to continue our Founders' legacy of excellence in airmanship, service above self, and love of country as the latest generation of military aviators takes flight.

This year, Flight 9’s primary goal for The Big Give is to raise funds to continue supporting the growth of our scholarship program.

Frank P. Lahm Flight #9 is located near Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio. Our flight takes advantage of the rich aviation legacy, history, and resources in the area for unique programming and volunteer advancing a love of aviation. Flight 9 reflects a continued commitment to the Daedalian mission with a strong scholarship program, Daedalian flight training program, partnerships with local organizations such as Air Camp, and by connecting the students they support with legacy generations of aviators though our flight events and activities.
