Support Flight #23 and sustain our outstanding Daedalian educational programs!
Our recent DFT graduates prove that military aviation is a family affair! Your generous donations help support the flight training of exceptional students, such as Marine JROTC student Jina Kim. Last year, Flight #23 supported her as she completed initial Flight School and her Solo. Continuing her journey to a career in aviation, Jina was later offered a slot to attend the Air Force Academy.
Following in his sister’s footsteps, Jina’s brother Sean Kim was also selected for the Daedalian flight training program. Sean has just completed his solo flight this summer with support from Flight #23. He is a senior at Granbury High School and also an exceptional student.
During the summer, our flight was saddened to learn that Jina’s father passed away suddenly. As is to be expected, losing a parent changed the family’s plan. Jina declined her USAFA offer and is now enrolled at Embry-Riddle in Florida pursuing a career in civilian aviation.
This year, our goal for donations during the Big Give is $3000. Please be generous!
As the name implies, DFW Flight #23 is located in the Dallas Fort Worth area. Our routine meetings are luncheons on the 3rd Thursday of each month at the Texas Rangers Golf Club. We remain one of the largest Daedalian flights and a multi-year Doolittle Award winner due to our innovations in programming and member engagement. We also continue to be an outstanding participant in Daedalian educational programs and awards, including scholarships, flight training, and JROTC medal presentations, instilling our Founders' legacy of excellence, patriotism and service in the next generation to take to the skies.
Every donation goes a long way in supporting students to reach their goals of pursuing careers in aviation. Help us pass the wings forward today!
