Hello,

I have been participating in AVA: America's Walking Club (AVA) walks for 48 years and am a Life Member of the AVA.  

The AVA has played a very important part of my life.  During my working career, I moved from Lawton, Ok to Oklahoma City, Ok; to Kansas City, MO; to Dallas, TX; to Clearwater, FL; to Clinton, NJ; to Danbury, CT; back to Clearwater, FL; to Houston, TX; to Jacksonville, FL; back to Houston, TX and, finally, to Ormond Beach, FL.

Every time I moved, there was a local AVA club for me to join.  I was able to make new friends and learn about my new area at every move by walking with the AVA.

In fact, my last move, to Ormond Beach, was to be close to The Happy Wanderers Walking Club so I could be actively walking twice a week, every week.  Life is good.

AVA walking has challenged me to walk in all 50 states and in 51 capitals.  I have attended walking conventions in all areas of our country.  I have seen and learned so much through the AVA and it local walking clubs. 

It is my honor to serve as the Secretary of AVA: America's Walking Club. As Secretary, I have walked in in International Walking Festivals in Canada, New Zealand, Australia, and Finland. 

I ask that, if possible, you assist me in fundraising in support of this wonderful organization, and please come walk with us.
