The Big Give - SACRD

I’m proud to serve on the board of SACRD, the San Antonio Community Resource Directory, and I’m asking you to join me in supporting an organization that strengthens how our community connects people with help.

Every day, people across our community need access to food, housing, health care, transportation, financial assistance, mental health services, and countless other resources. At the same time, social workers, case managers, nonprofits, faith communities, and other helpers are working to connect their clients and neighbors with those services.

SACRD helps bring those two sides together.

Each year, SACRD receives more than 700,000 visits from people searching for nonprofit and human-service resources. And the impact goes beyond the number of people using the site. Organizations using SACRD have seen social worker productivity increase by 10%, helping frontline staff spend less time searching for accurate information and more time serving people.

That infrastructure matters.

SACRD works to ensure that community resource information is organized, accessible, and useful to the people who need it. It also creates opportunities for nonprofits and community partners to work together, share knowledge, and strengthen the network of support available throughout our community.

I serve on the SACRD board because I believe in sharing knowledge. Especially when that knowledge is crucial to someone's safety, health or well-being. I want to be instrumental in helping individuals or families get their needs met in a fast, accurate, free and accessible way. 

This fall, I have set a personal goal of raising $750 for SACRD, and I would be grateful for your help reaching it.
