Support critical legal aid for Immigrants in SA

Over the past year, the fight for immigration justice in Texas has felt heavier than ever. Our immigrant community continues to endure severe injustices, while our staff—the very people doing this exhausting, heart-wrenching work—have faced immense strain. On top of that, we’ve weathered tough financial hits, losing key contracts and programs at a time when the community's need is at an all-time high.

Yet, American Gateways refuses to step back. In the face of these headwinds, our team has been more creative and nimble than ever:

Meeting people where they are: Through the PAPA program, we’ve helped nearly 2,100 self-represented individuals directly outside the San Antonio Immigration Court and in monthly clinics.

Fighting for freedom: We have beem on the ground fighting for the release of our community members. We’ve helped release more than 30 family members from wrongful detention when pathways to relief seemed all but gone.
