Texas Round Up Animal Alliance

Your Gift Goes Twice as Far

Because of generous supporters, every dollar donated during The Big Give will be matched up to $8,500. That means your donation is doubled.

A $25 gift becomes $50.

A $50 gift becomes $100.

A $100 gift becomes $200.

Make twice the impact and be the reason for a second chance.

This year, with 56 dogs and 10 Lifers in our care, The Big Give means more to us than ever before.

Our kennels are full, every dollar is stretched, and every day we receive pleas for dogs who are scared, abandoned, injured, misunderstood, or running out of time.

We want to keep saying yes.

Texas Round Up Animal Alliance (TRUAA) is a private, grassroots, no-kill dog rescue and sanctuary in the Texas Hill Country. We believe no dog should lose their life simply because they are scared, injured, older, or misunderstood.

Many of the dogs we save come from county shelters where they have been overlooked, labeled “unadoptable,” and are running out of options. TRUAA becomes their second chance when there is nowhere else to go.

We Meet Them Where They Are

Some dogs arrive ready to find a family. Others arrive frightened, shut down, medically fragile, under-socialized, or struggling with behavioral challenges.

At TRUAA, rescue does not have a timeline. Some dogs need weeks, some need months, and some need years.

Through our Paws in Progress program, dogs who need rehabilitation, confidence building, training, socialization, or simply more time are given the chance to heal without being rushed.

We celebrate every milestone—the first tail wag, gentle touch, successful leash walk, or the moment a frightened dog realizes they are safe.

For Some Dogs, TRUAA Becomes Home

Some dogs may never find a traditional adoptive home because of medical, behavioral, or special needs. We lovingly call these dogs our Lifers.

For them, TRUAA is not just a rescue. It is home.

They are safe, loved, and given the medical care and support they need. We never want a dog’s worth to be determined by how quickly they can be adopted.

Your Donation Gives Them Time

Your support helps provide food, veterinary care, medications, preventative care, rehabilitation, training, enrichment, and safe housing.

But your donation provides something even bigger: time.

Time for a scared dog to trust. Time for an injured dog to heal. Time for a misunderstood dog to learn. Time for a long-stay dog to wait for the right family. And time for a Lifer to always have a safe place to call home.

Where Your Donation Goes

Fill Their Bowls — Help provide food for the dogs in our care.

Vet Care for Lifers — Help cover ongoing medical care, medications, and special needs.

Paws in Progress — Help provide rehabilitation, training, socialization, and enrichment.

Protect Their Future — Help fund heartworm, flea, tick, and other preventative care.

Building Second Chances — Help complete and improve our rescue trailers and outdoor spaces.

No matter which area speaks to you most, every gift helps give a dog the care, time, and second chance they deserve.

More Than 500 Second Chances—and Counting

Since opening our doors, TRUAA has helped save more than 500 dogs. Every dog that comes through our gates has a story, and every dog deserves the opportunity for a different ending.

Safe. Loved. Healed. And given the chance to become who they were always meant to be.

Building Second Chances

Our Building Second Chances Campaign will help us create safer, more functional spaces and give us the ability to help more dogs who need rehabilitation, training, and support.

Funds raised will help us begin work on our new rescue trailers, refurbish an existing rescue building, and create a covered outdoor kennel area where dogs can safely enjoy fresh air, decompress, train, and spend more time outside their indoor kennels.

This expansion is especially important for our Paws in Progress dogs, who often need additional space, structure, enrichment, and individualized attention as they learn to trust and build confidence. The outdoor kennels will also give our dogs more opportunities to safely spend time outside while helping our team spend less time on daily cleanup and more time on training, enrichment, medical care, and one-on-one attention.

Be the Reason for a Second Chance

Every gift, no matter the size, helps us continue this lifesaving work.

During The Big Give, your gift will be matched—doubling your impact up to $8,500.

Donate today and help us keep saying YES to the dogs who need us most.
