Rape Crisis Center

A nonprofit organization

Our mission is to provide help, hope, and healing to those impacted by sexual violence and cultivate a safe, nonviolent community, with a vision of a world free of sexual violence. We want to achieve this vision by being trauma-informed, person-centered, and prevention-based.

At RCC, our first priority is to believe, support, and empower all survivors of sexual assault through a continuum of care from prevention, intervention, and advocacy. Through our dynamic partnerships and collaborations, we continue to focus on prevention education to end sexual violence in our community, while also meeting the needs of survivors currently in the healing process.

Our team is dedicated to significantly decreasing the number of those impacted by sexual assault. Every 68 seconds, an American is sexually assaulted. Thinking about all of the minutes in a day, that's a massive amount of people! In Texas, 2 in 5 women and 1 in 5 men have been victims of sexual violence, totaling an estimated 6.3 million Texans. This is a problem that is actively impacting all of us, including our neighbors, coworkers, and loved ones. To combat these exceedingly high numbers, we practice a multi-disciplinary approach to support our community with a responsive medical team, a sensitive law enforcement department, and an active prosecution system. Our dedicated team understands the importance of care before, during, and after an assault occurs.
