St. Gregory the Great Catholic School is a vibrant, faith-centered community in the heart of San Antonio, dedicated to forming young hearts and minds through academic excellence, spiritual growth, and service.

We, the faith community of St. Gregory the Great Catholic School, in keeping with the Catholic tradition, nurture in our children and one another spiritual, personal, and academic growth through prayer and Christ-like service. In addition to our rigorous curriculum, we pride ourselves on teaching the whole child and meeting each child where they are. St. Gregory offers services for children with learning style differences and a specialized two-year dyslexia intervention program, ensuring that every student is supported on their unique learning journey.

We, the faith community of St. Gregory the Great Catholic School, in keeping with the Catholic tradition, nurture in our children and one another, spiritual, personal and academic growth through prayer and Christ-like service.

Our Philosophy
St. Gregory the Great Catholic School endorses its educational ministry through the three objectives of personal spirituality, social justice, and a strong academic program in accordance with Catholic values. This commitment extends to building Christian community and to fostering Christian service.
We endeavor to promote the development of each child according to his/her spiritual growth and intellectual aptitude. As a Christian community, we take a personal interest in each student’s emotional needs, physical needs and cultural background. We partner with the family in the education and foundation of the whole child.
In the practical application of our school philosophy we, the faculty and staff of St. Gregory the Great Catholic School, working with the home and the Church, endeavor to provide children with the experiences which will develop a character equal to the responsibilities of fundamental Christian living in the American democratic society.
