For twenty years, SNIPSA has been saving lives in San Antonio, growing from a backyard rescue into a dedicated network of staff, volunteers, fosters, and supporters.

Our mission is simple: reduce the homeless pet population and give every animal a fighting chance. We rescue animals at risk of euthanasia, provide the medical care they need, and help them find loving homes. But rescue is only part of the solution.

Every day, families reach out because they love their pets but simply can’t afford spay/neuter surgery or essential vaccines. We never want finances to be the reason another unwanted litter is born or a beloved pet goes without care.

That’s why this year, we made one of the biggest commitments in SNIPSA’s history. We expanded our in-house surgery program from two days a week to four, nearly doubling the number of pets we can serve. We’re on track to perform almost 6,000 spay/neuter surgeries in 2026, up from 3,200 just one year ago.

Every surgery means fewer homeless animals entering shelters, healthier pets, and more families able to keep the companions they love.
