San Antonio Pets Alive!

🚐🐾 In 2025, San Antonio Pets Alive! proudly reimagined our Paws Beyond Texas transport program — a lifesaving effort built on compassion, care, and the belief that every pet deserves a forever home.

By carefully partnering with 10–15 like-minded rescues and shelters across the U.S. and even into Canada 🇨🇦, we’ve created a network of organizations who share our vision of responsible, adoption-focused rescue. These partners often face the opposite challenge we do here in San Antonio — they have loving adopters waiting, but not enough pets to adopt.

 

✨ With your support, we set out to transport 500 animals from our city’s overcrowded shelters to new lives filled with love. And as of July 31, 2025, we surpassed that goal! 🎉

But we’re just getting started. This year, we’re asking our incredible community to help us raise $125,000 to cover the full cost of preparing and transporting 250 more pets. Every dollar means more wagging tails, more second chances, and fewer animals left behind.

Together, we can reduce overcrowding in San Antonio and give these deserving dogs and cats the happy endings they’ve been waiting for. 💕🐶🐱

Who We Are

We are San Antonio Pets Alive!, a life-saving organization that rescues dogs and cats at risk of being euthanized. We save these animals after all other options have been exhausted. Our vision is to work towards the day no dog or cat is euthanized at the city municipal shelter due to lack of space, adopter or foster.
