Why Garden for All?

Nature belongs to everyone. But transportation, cost, sensory needs, age, and other barriers can make it harder for some people to experience the Garden. Through programs like Nature Navigator, Dementia-Friendly Gardening, sensory-friendly experiences, and the Children’s Vegetable Garden, we’re finding new ways to welcome more people in and make meaningful connections with nature possible.

The San Antonio Botanical Garden is a world-class garden recognized for outstanding horticulture displays, botanical diversity, education, conservation, and experiences that connect people to the natural world. The Garden embraces the sense of place that makes San Antonio unique. 

Who We Are

At San Antonio Botanical Garden, we’ve been dreaming about plants for more than 45 years. Whether it’s partnering with renowned architect Emilio Ambasz to build a one-of-a-kind conservatory or leading the largest conservation effort in Texas history to save rare and endangered plants, SABG is a place where all are welcome to explore nature’s endless possibilities. With an uncommon variety of plants, a rotating calendar of events, and the natural changes of the seasons, there’s always something new to see, do, and dig into for people of all ages, abilities, and interests.
