At Daily Bread, we offer biblical poverty alleviation training to a network of over 100 churches and ministries. This equips them to better address poverty as they use the food and resources we provide to engage their local community.
Daily Bread Ministries is a Christian food bank that serves the Greater San Antonio area. We partner with over 100 churches and ministries who operate food pantries in some of the most poverty-stricken areas in our community. Over 60% of the food we distribute is fresh fruit, vegetables, milk and juice. By providing wholesome, nutritious food, we address not only the issue of hunger, but of overall health and well being. Our weekly food distribution program addresses the immediate issue of hunger, while our training program addresses the more complex issue of poverty alleviation. Our training program covers topics such as money management, parenting, and leadership development. In 2020 we served over 60,000 individuals experiencing hunger and poverty.
