Musical Bridges Around the World, Inc.

Unlocking Potential, One Key at a Time.

For nearly three decades, Musical Bridges Around the World has used the transformative power of music to inspire our community. Today, we're building on that legacy by launching our first dedicated Keys for Kids piano lab, bringing high-quality piano instruction to middle school students who currently have no access to a school music program. This innovative after-school program will provide sixth-grade students with weekly piano instruction in a dedicated piano lab led by an experienced music educator. Each student will also receive a keyboard to take home, ensuring they can continue learning and practicing beyond the classroom.

Throughout the semester, students will also learn from world-class guest artists and perform in a final recital for family and friends, being recognized for their individual growth and accomplishments. Research consistently demonstrates that music education supports academic achievement, critical thinking, social-emotional development and long-term student success. Through Keys for Kids, we're allowing students to discover their potential while developing skills that will serve them for a lifetime.

Your gift during Big Give will help provide expert instruction, curriculum, learning materials, guest artist experiences and the resources needed to build a sustainable program.

Together, we can unlock potential, one key at a time. 🎹

Why Piano?

Learning piano does far more than teach musical notes. Research shows that early piano instruction boosts academic performance in core subjects like math and reading by strengthening memory and spatial reasoning.

Beyond the classroom, playing an instrument builds vital life skills like patience and self-discipline. Working through a challenging piece teaches students how to break down complex tasks into manageable steps. As sixth graders conquer new songs, they gain real confidence and problem-solving skills that set them up for long-term success in school and beyond.
