Since 1939, Global Refuge has existed to welcome and protect newcomers fleeing violence and persecution. We resettle refugees, care for unaccompanied children, and empower families to thrive in the United States.
Our San Antonio Welcome Center opened in 2022 to provide protection-based, trauma-informed case management services to
families and individuals who have been forced to leave their homelands to start
new lives in the United States—from the moment they arrive until they find
their footing in their new communities and careers. Now, with historic policy changes closing pathways to safety and seeking to dismantle America's legacy as a place of refuge, our newest neighbors need our support more than ever in 2025.
