Dizzy Dog Animal Rescue

Dizzy Dog Animal Rescue is a volunteer-led, foster-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to saving dogs from high-risk shelters and dangerous situations throughout Texas, with a strong commitment to San Antonio and the surrounding communities.

Founded in 2021 by Stacey Carlson in loving memory of her mother—whose nickname was “Dizzy”—our rescue was built on the compassion for animals that Stacey learned from her mother. Since opening our doors, we have helped save more than 1,100 dogs, regardless of their breed, age, medical condition, or background.

Through our partnership with the City of San Antonio Animal Care Services, we rescue urgent dogs whose time is running out. Each dog receives the veterinary care, transportation, foster support, training and individualized attention needed to prepare for a permanent, loving home. Many arrive frightened, injured, heartworm-positive or in need of significant medical treatment. Because we do not operate a physical shelter, every dog is cared for in a foster home where they can heal, learn to trust, and experience life as part of a family.

Your Big Give donation will help us provide lifesaving medical care, spay and neuter services, vaccinations, food, supplies, transportation, and behavioral support. It will also give us the ability to say “yes” to dogs in desperate need, whether we are saving them from a shelter or rescuing them from the streets.

Together, we can continue changing lives—one paw at a time.

Every Dog. Every Life. Every Chance.
