Contemporary at Blue Star

Big Give at Contemporary at Blue Star

Inspire, Nurture, and Innovate with a gift to the Contemporary!

Contemporary at Blue Star serves as the beating heart of San Antonio’s contemporary art scene. Within its walls, generations of San Antonians have gathered to draw inspiration from the boundary-pushing works of local, national, and international artists. Contributions to the Contemporary during the Big Give will support school transportation to and from the Contemporary for tours and school visits.

Help us raise $10,000 during the Big Give 2026

The "bold experiment" continues! The Contemporary is celebrating 40 years of innovation and impact.

During the Big Give, your gift helps keep our school bus program rolling, bringing K-12 students to the Contemporary. When looking to the future, 94% of students highly engaged with the arts attend a four year college. Join us in nurturing student success with To the Museum!, providing free, educator-led tours and exhibition-relevant workshops that inspire students to be creative pioneers. Together, we’re aiming to raise $10,000 so even more young people can discover the joy and inspiration of contemporary art and artists.

When to donate this year

The Big Give 2026 will be held September 23rd at 6 pm to September 24th at 6 pm. However, there is also the chance for early and late giving. Donations made from September 16 through September 27 will still count towards our goal.
