The Montessori School of San Antonio

Founded in 1974, The Montessori School of San Antonio (MSSA) is an independent, nonprofit school serving children from age 3 through 8th grade. Located on a beautiful 24-acre campus in North-Central San Antonio, MSSA provides an authentic Montessori education where children are guided to become passionate learners, independent thinkers, and engaged citizens.

Our thoughtfully designed campus, including prepared classrooms, expansive outdoor learning environments, a quarter-mile nature trail, playgrounds, and athletic spaces, encourages curiosity, exploration, creativity, and a lifelong love of learning.

For more than 50 years, MSSA has empowered students to grow into confident learners, compassionate leaders, and engaged members of their communities. As one of the region's premier independent schools, MSSA is accredited by the Independent Schools Association of the Southwest (ISAS) and is a proud member of the American Montessori Society (AMS), reflecting our commitment to educational excellence and authentic Montessori practices.
