San Antonio Book Festival

The San Antonio Book Festival unites readers and writers in a celebration of ideas, books, libraries, and literary culture.

Since 2013, we have brought readers and writers together for a citywide celebration of books, libraries, ideas, and imagination. Every year, we welcome more than 100 authors and 25,000 attendees to what we love to call a fiesta of the mind. We are the largest literary event in San Antonio. 

We are not just a one-day event. Throughout the year, our Get Lit Author Series brings writers into conversation with the San Antonio community, while Authors in Schools connects award-winning authors with students in underserved schools. These visits give children and teens the chance to hear how books are created, ask questions, and take home free signed copies of their own, extending our celebration of reading far beyond Festival Day.
