We’re Ready to Spare Cats & Kittens from Needless Suffering. Will You Help Us?
Big Give: September 17–18
Every day in San Antonio and surrounding areas, our volunteers confront the heartbreaking consequences of cat overpopulation. From tiny kittens clinging to life in the summer heat, injured ferals suffering in silence, to entire colonies wiped out by natural disasters.
In August, our team extended a hand to help the Kerrville community, where historic flooding left free-roaming cats in desperate conditions. Our dedicated volunteers helped their Texas neighbors in Kerrville trap, neuter, and return up to 120 displaced cats to ensure they don’t multiply and suffer further.
This work in Kerrville did not stop the help needed back home in San Antonio.
We still:
Actively trap in Bexar County to prevent further suffering
Operate our 24/7 helpline to respond to urgent calls from the public
Host adoption events to help rescued cats find loving homes
Partner with local shelters to ease the strain of overcrowding
And train more community members in TNR, empowering others to be part of the solution
Our commitment stretches far and wide, but the truth is, we're overwhelmed.
Behind every rescue is a hard choice: treat the critically ill kitten or fund a spay/neuter surgery for a colony that’s rapidly growing? Use our last donated dollar for food, or for lifesaving medical care? These are impossible choices, and they’re becoming more frequent.
The Big Give on September 17–18 is our most important fundraiser of the year.
It sustains our mission and vision by:
Funding spay/neuter surgeries to end overpopulation at the root
Funding food and resources for managed colonies
Funding rescue and adoption for cats who deserve a second chance
And when you give during Match Minutes, your donation can be doubled thanks to Big Give’s sponsors. Timing is everything:
Match Minute Schedule
Donations of $100 or less will be matched until funds run out.

Whether you give early, during these special minutes, or any time before Sept. 21, your support will directly impact the lives of the cats and kittens we share in our stories, social media, and monthly newsletters.
We don’t often share the most difficult photos. Not because they aren’t real, but because they are. We see the pain in every pair of frightened eyes, in every mother cat struggling to protect her litter in unsafe, unsheltered places.
Your gift is more than a donation. It’s a lifeline.
From all of us at the San Antonio Feral Cat Coalition, and the thousands of cats you’ll help — we thank you for giving and sharing our Big Give fundraiser.
Together, we can end the cycle of suffering.
Together, we can give them a chance.
San Antonio Feral Cat Coalition, a 501(c)(3) Nonprofit Corporation, is organized to address issues related to feral cats in the San Antonio area. We are all volunteers and serve to improve the welfare of feral cats in our community through a variety of means to reduce their populations through humane programs.
Our vision is to have a community where no kittens are born wild on the street, no cat capable of living in a home is lacking one, and no feral cats are wanting for food, water, and appropriate care and concern.
