For more than 40 years, Hill Country Crisis Council has been a place of safety, hope, and healing for individuals and families impacted by violence and abuse across the Texas Hill Country.

When someone comes to HCCC, they may be escaping an abusive home, seeking help after a sexual assault, or bringing a child who has experienced abuse. Whatever brought them to us, they are met with compassion, specialized support, and the resources they need to take their next step forward.

The Red Doors | Emergency Shelter
For adults and children fleeing violence, The Red Doors provides more than a safe place to stay. Survivors receive emergency shelter, advocacy, counseling, safety planning, case management, transportation assistance, and support as they work toward stability and independence.

Kids’ Advocacy Place | Child Advocacy Center
Children who have experienced or witnessed abuse deserve a place designed specifically for them. Kids’ Advocacy Place provides a safe, child-centered environment where children and their families can receive forensic interviews, advocacy, trauma-focused mental health services, and coordinated support throughout the investigative and healing process.

The Steps | Counseling & Advocacy
Healing does not always require shelter. Through The Steps, survivors and families throughout our communities can access counseling, crisis intervention, advocacy, safety planning, court accompaniment, and other critical services while continuing to live and work in their own communities.

Serving Kerr, Kendall, Bandera, Gillespie, Mason, and Kimble counties, HCCC provides life-changing services to hundreds of children, adults, and families each year.
