Each One Teach One

Alarmingly, one in four San Antonio adults are functionally illiterate (test below the 5th grade level academically). Imagine not being able to read or write your own children's names, complete a job application, or read a newspaper or social media. This is the reality for many Each One Teach One (EOTO) learners.

EOTO--a 501(c)(3) nonprofit since 2014--is on a mission to improve the literacy levels of San Antonio's adult population through individualized curricula and one-on-one tutoring and small group tutoring. 

Since 2004, Each One Teach One has been dedicated to improving the literacy skills and economic mobility of San Antonio's adult population. We offer tutoring in GED® preparation, English as a Second Language (ESL), and basic reading, writing, and math at no cost. With the support of our dedicated volunteers and donors, we've helped thousands of adults gain the skills they need to succeed in their personal and professional lives. Our learners are parents who can now help their children with homework, employees who have earned promotions, and community members who are more engaged and confident. Your support helps us continue this vital work. Together, we can break the cycle of illiteracy and open doors to brighter futures for adults across San Antonio.
