Comfort Table and Food Pantry

A nonprofit organization

We are an all volunteer organization.  The mission of the Comfort Table and Food Pantry is to feed the Hungry of the Comfort area by providing food assistance. Founded over 25 years ago by a group of Comfort area churches, the Table and Food Pantry continue to serve by preparing and serving community meals each Wednesday evening and ensuring that
enough food is available to feed the growing number of Pantry clients.

The Food Pantry is located in a trailer in the Immanuel Lutheran Church parking lot at 318 High St.   This year we purchased the parking lot of Immanuel Lutheran Church for future growth.  We plan on building a larger Pantry space soon.

The Food Pantry is open Tuesday & Thursday from 3 - 5 where we provide nutritious food for needy people. Food is sent home with Comfort elementary students each Friday (approximately 105 children) to ensure that they have access to food on the weekend via our Back Pack program.  We also place food in area schools via our Hidden Closet program and stock the Little Free Pantry in front of Immanuel Lutheran.

The Comfort Table provides a community meal each Wednesday evening for anyone - the needy, seniors, working families - anyone!  We serve approximately 100 - 150 meals each week.

With the continuing uncertainty and ongoing economic crisis's we are purchasing more food than usual due to demand and see new clients each week registering for our help. We have seen a 30% increase in visitors since the crisis started and expect that to increase as we see uncertainty overwhelm people and affect their lives. Your donation will help us be able to put food in the homes of the people most affected by the virus and life trials.

The Comfort Table and Food Pantry is a 501(c)3 organization.
