Thousands of children in our community suffer the loss of loved one at some point in their life, but what comes next? At the Children's Bereavement Center of South Texas, it is our belief that children deserve an expressive outlet for their grief. This can be through art therapy, play therapy, music, dance, or meaningful connection with one of our licensed professional counselors. All services at our Center are provided at no cost to families.  It is our hope that funds raised through The Big Give will help to ensure that no family will have to walk the difficult journey of grief alone.

This Big Give, we're highlighting our School-Based programming. When facing the heavy emotions of grief, students can face social, academic and behavioral difficulties in school. Grief becomes a barrier to education. We serve students in-school directly to remove transportation and scheduling barriers to families in need of trauma-informed grief counseling. Our school-based counselors operate across South Texas in San Antonio, Uvalde, and the Hill Country to overcome these barriers. With your support, we can continue to heal hearts and set our children up for success🦋
