Help 1HOPE Foster Kids Experience Normalcy Through Summer Camps!

Imagine an 8-year-old foster kid who's never been to summer camp. A teenager who dreams of learning to ride horses. A child in the system who just wants to swim, play, and laugh like any other kid their age. Help us make that happen for our foster kids at 1HOPE.

Foster care is anything but normal, and yet normalcy is critical for children in care.

That’s why this year, we're raising funds for $500 summer camp scholarships—giving our foster children the chance to enjoy and experience a “normal” childhood through the summer camp or program of their choice. 

Our Big Give Goal: $40,000 (80 scholarships)

Who We Are

Since 2015, 1HOPE for Kids has been transforming lives across 28 counties of South Central Texas. From Port Lavaca to Del Rio, 4,000 kids are in care, with 3,000 of those kids right here in Bexar County. As the largest foster & adoption agency in Bexar County, we've never been content with helping children simply survive—we're committed to helping them THRIVE.

Our 11-Year Impact:

• 456 families licensed to open their hearts and homes
• Over 1,170 children served with love and care
• 404 forever families created through adoption
• 578 joyful reunifications with birth families

We are the only agency that trains families from an excellent, trauma-informed care model, coupled with veteran foster parent practical skills. Kids find stability in 1HOPE foster homes, with an average of 0-1 moves (compared to state averages of 2-6), so healing begins faster and progresses more quickly. We offer our families 24/7 support and surround them with a Care Community. 

Our vision is to have a home for every child, and our mission is to provide hope for kids in Crisis.
