In September 2025, I met Star, my guide dog, and my life changed.

At first, Star was hesitant and curious about her new surroundings. But on our very first walk together, I knew we were going to be an amazing team. She reminds me so much of myself because she is driven, focused, and determined.

Star has given me more than guidance. She has given me confidence, independence, and hope. She is not only my guide dog—she is my partner, my teammate, and my little Starburst Tootsie Roll.

I want people to understand that when you see a guide dog walking beside someone who is blind, you aren’t just seeing a dog. You are seeing teamwork, trust, and a partnership that can change a life.

That’s why supporting Vision Guide Dogs and the school is so important. Donations help make it possible to train these incredible dogs and prepare them to become life-changing partners for people who are blind.
