Ben T. Epps Flight #102

Partner with Ben T. Epps Flight 102 to support awarding scholarships to ROTC cadets who, upon graduating from college and being commissioned in the armed forces, are headed to military flight training in the Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marines!

Over the last 18 years, Flight 102 has awarded scholarships to 44 ROTC cadets from seven colleges and universities in the Atlanta metropolitan area.  Along with ‘matching’ monies from National, those scholarships total nearly $100,000.00.

In addition, our Flight has established an endowment that we will continue to grow to ensure that our legacy as a strong supporter of scholarships will endure.

Our goal for 2026 is to continue raising funds in support of deserving cadets who may one day become Daedalians in their own right.  

Flight #102 continues to support our students throughout their aviation career journeys. We recently welcomed to our membership, one of the cadets who, 16 years ago, was awarded a flight scholarship.  After serving in the Air Force, he returned to the Atlanta region and, at one of our recent recruiting sessions, he joined the Order of Daedalians, shown in our picture.  At our very next Flight recruiting session, he hosted a recruit who we hope will soon join us as well!

Flight #102 is based in Atlanta, GA. We meet on the third Tuesday of even months where we recruit new members for the Order of Daedalians, and hear from speakers covering a wide variety of topics of interest to our members.  Each spring, we also present the Daedalian JROTC Achievement Medal to cadets at over 150 high schools in both the Atlanta Metropolitan area and at nearby schools in South Carolina and Tennessee.

Help Flight 102 continue to provide scholarships to ROTC cadets who, through our Flight’s example of service, may one day become members of the Order of Daedalians themselves and, as Gen Viccellio said, we can continue to “…lend support to those generations just in trail.”
