Layla For CAMP!

CAMP Camp has truly changed me for the better. I went to my first program in the spring of 2023 and knew this place would be an integral part of my life. CAMP has taught me so much about how I can a better advocate and friend. This past summer I worked as Lead Staff and had the privilege of hanging out with amazing people every session I worked. This summer I got to hang out with my friends G and she taught me so much. I got the opportunity to be apart of her first time swimming at CAMP, which was so special and something I'll never forget. G also loves mail, so getting to see the pure joy on her face when she got mail was so special. I also got to reunite with one of my favorite people H. He came to CAMP Sign this year and it was so incredible to see he doing ice breakers and playing volleyball with people who used the same language he did. This access to communication was something so special and I'm so grateful I was able to provide that for him. CAMP has impacted my career trajectory as well. Because of CAMP I am going to college to become an Occupational Therapist, so I can make the world around me as accessible as possible. CAMP Camp is such an amazing place that has given me so much and by making a donation you camp help CAMP last forever!
