Why I'm Supporting Brighton Center for Big Give

Twelve years at Brighton Center have truly flown by! Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of learning and growing through many administrative roles, but one of the greatest blessings has been getting to know the incredible people who make Brighton Center so special.

I have witnessed firsthand the passion of staff who wholeheartedly believe in our mission and show up every day proud of the work they do. A job and a passion are two very different things, and at Brighton Center, I see passion every day.

I am incredibly grateful to work for an organization whose vision is to transform the lives of families throughout San Antonio who have children with disabilities or developmental delays. We stay because of the mission. We stay because of the vision. And most importantly, we stay because of the opportunity to impact as many lives as possible.

What families may not always realize is that while we hope to make a difference in their lives, they also make a lasting impact on ours. Even on the toughest days, the children and families we serve remind us of strength, resilience, and perseverance. Their grit inspires me every day.

Brighton Center is a place that truly “fills my cup.” While there are certainly challenging days, the children and families we serve often face challenges far greater than our own, and their determination is a constant reminder of why this work matters.
