Temple Beth-El

From our earliest days, Temple Beth-El has embraced the principle of tikkun olam, or "repairing the world," with unwavering commitment. Last holiday season, over 80 volunteers were instrumental in feeding over 1,000 Bexar County residents facing food or home insecurity. 

Help us do it again. 

Our Big Give goal is to raise $1,800 to help offset the costs in feeding people in need this holiday season.

Who We Are

Temple Beth-El Food and Fun Summer Day Camp (BFF) services a large food desert area surrounding our synagogue. Over 80% of the children in the neighborhood rely on free or reduced lunch from school, so we partner with the San Antonio Food Bank in the summer to provide children, ages 1-18 with two meals a day as well as activities for 3-14 year olds between meals. Our program is free to the families we serve, and all are welcome to participate in a safe, fun environment.
