This Big Give, our goal is to provide tuition assistance for 20 more students like Joshua. With an average scholarship award of $1,200, we are seeking to raise $24,000 to help make Catholic education possible for these families.

While the Texas Education Freedom Accounts program provide much-needed assistance to many families, the available funding is not enough to meet the needs of every family seeking a Catholic education for their children. Hope for the Future remains committed to filling that gap, ensuring that finances do not become a barrier to a faith-filled education.

Who We Are

Hope for the Future fulfills the Archdiocese’s long-term commitment to Catholic school education by assuring our schools will continue to thrive in providing all families, and especially those most in need, with an education that is first class, rooted in faith and forms successful, community-minded leaders of tomorrow.

Started in December of 2006 by Archbishop Gomez and community and businesses leaders, the mission of Hope for the Future was simple; to Assist Families in Obtaining the Academic and Spiritual Benefits of a Catholic School Education in the Archdiocese of San Antonio. We accomplish this mission by providing tuition assistance scholarships to families in need. To date, Hope for the Future has provided approximately 12,000 children more than $17 million in tuition assistance since 2006.
