Comal County is one of the fastest growing counties in the nation. This growth puts extreme strain on the natural systems that sustain our communities, fuel our local economy, and shape the Hill Country character we all love.
A big part of our mission is centered around the Comal Land Conservation Fund (CLCF). The Big Give is a crucial part of this mission. When you give to the CLCF, you are not just donating, you’re safeguarding critical lands from overdevelopment.
EVERY DOLLAR STAYS LOCAL. EVERY ACTION LEAVES A LEGACY.
The Comal Land Conservation Fund (CLCF)
Six years ago, Comal Conservation launched the Comal Land Conservation Fund to help in the creation of local conservation easements by assisting with the cost of legal fees, surveys, and appraisals.
Conservation Easements
A conservation easement is a binding agreement that limits future development. This keeps the land open and natural, while allowing continued access for working lands, or wildlife habitat, for generations to come.
• $50,000 awarded through the Comal Land Conservation Fund
• 357.5 acres of land preserved
• Permanent protection of aquifer recharge zones, riparian woodlands, and community heritage sites.
Whether it's $5 or $500, your gift to the Comal Land Conservation Fund becomes part of a bigger story rooted in care, stewardship, and love for the land that sustains us all.
For more information www.ComalConservation.org Comal Conservation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit making your donations tax deductible.
Comal County is growing rapidly, meaning that protecting our land, water, and wildlife is our major concern for now and future generations. There’s only so much land available. Once gone, it’s gone forever. It's our turn to make a difference.
