About Us

For over 40 years, the Comal County Senior Citizens Foundation (CCSCF) has been a cornerstone of care and community for aging adults across our county. What began in 1984 as a small group of compassionate local business professionals responding to a critical need has grown into one of the most vital senior-serving organizations in Comal County — and we're just getting started.

Our mission is simple but powerful: "Enriching the Lives of Aging Adults."

Every meal delivered, every fitness class offered, every friendship formed within our walls is a testament to that mission in action.

Who We Are

As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and a Meals on Wheels provider in Comal County, we are proud to deliver approximately 10,000 nutritious meals every single month to homebound seniors who depend on us.

But we're more than a meal delivery service. We're a full-service Senior Center buzzing with energy Monday through Friday — a place where older adults come to move, learn, laugh, and belong.

And our dedicated volunteers? They're more than helpers. They are often the only friendly face a homebound client sees each day — serving as eyes, ears, and a caring human connection for some of our most vulnerable neighbors.

Our Senior Wellness Program: Four Cornerstones of Healthy Aging

Everything we do is built around four foundational pillars designed to keep seniors thriving — body, mind, and spirit.

🍽️ Cornerstone 1: Nutritious Meals at No Cost
No senior should go hungry. Through our Meals on Wheels and Congregate Meals programs, we provide fresh, healthy meals to seniors throughout Comal County — free of charge — five days a week.

🤝 Cornerstone 2: Fellowship to Fight Loneliness
Loneliness is one of the greatest health threats facing seniors today. We fight it head-on with a vibrant, welcoming community full of games, crafts, music, celebrations, and genuine human connection. Here, everyone belongs.

💪 Cornerstone 3: Fitness to Improve Strength & Balance
From fitness classes and exercise equipment to our heated pool and spa, we offer fun, accessible ways for seniors to stay strong, flexible, and confident in their daily movements.

🎓 Cornerstone 4: Education for Lifelong Learning
It's never too late to learn something new. Our educational classes keep minds sharp, curiosity alive, and open the door to exciting new skills and interests.

We are actively working to expand our capacity and programs to ensure that no aging adult in our community is left behind.
