Who We Are

Founded in 2008, Autism Community Network (ACN) works to empower families and caregivers to be principal advocates, caregivers, and champions in their children's lives. Our mission is to provide support, education, and resources to those affected by autism. As the expert autism organization of South Texas, ACN is here to provide innovative, evidence-based support focused on enhancing the quality of life and self-actualization for neurodiverse children and the village supporting them.

Over the last 18 years, ACN has served tens of thousands of children and their families in San Antonio and beyond. In 2025, children and their families from 107 different zip codes in 25 counties were served at Autism Community Network. A committed staff of 16 individuals is changing lives of families affected by ASD. ACN's clinicians have a combined 183 years of relevant experience offering this community, the most expert and comprehensive approach to medical diagnostics, therapeutic intervention, and effective caregiver training.

In This Together

At ACN, autism empowerment is personal. The majority of our Board of Directors, clinical and administrative staff, and leaders/advisors are parents or family members of neurodivergent individual or are neurodiverse ourselves. We know firsthand the pathways that caregivers face. At ACN, we are committed to illuminating the strengths of the children we serve, while supporting the areas in which they may struggle. We bring together familial and professional caregivers, autistic self-advocates and researchers to assure that the evidence-based services we offer are cutting edge.

Through autism screenings, diagnostic evaluations, child-led therapies, parent empowerment groups, and educational classes we can provide the necessary resources to better outcomes in a BIG way. We walk beside our families, help to harness their own strengths, for a circle of security around then, and support their learning to advocate for their child until their child can advocate for themselves.
