Mercy Four Paws and Claws is a foster based rescue, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in San Antonio Texas.

San Antonio is currently facing a severe ANIMAL CRISIS! 

BOTH CATS AND DOGS ARE ROAMING THE STREETS!

The persistent stray population has reached critical levels. The streets are overflowing with abandoned, abused, unwanted cats and dogs. We are boots on the ground! These poor animals are starving and breeding on the streets at rapid rates. Our team of compassionate volunteers go door-by-door to educate the public. Many are considered emergency feeding case's and we help spay and neuter and even provide transportation to people who otherwise have no way to get to the appointments that we make. Mercy Four Paws and Claws officially started in 2025 after over 45 years of feeding and providing medical care to so many dogs and cats in need. We travel around the city neighborhoods on the East side, West side, Southside and feed. What we see is horrendous!!! Until recently, we would care for dogs and cats on the streets at our own expense however, the need is too great that we must have help. We are currently seeking funding support, and recruiting dedicated volunteers to help us with our mission to help the voiceless. This is a community problem that will need a community to help the forgotten animals in our city, home of the Alamo.
