At the Imagination Library of San Antonio, we believe every child deserves the gift of books and the joy of reading. Our mission is to mail free, high-quality books directly to children’s homes every month from birth to age five—building home libraries (of up to 60 books!). By growing readers from the very beginning, we’re working toward a future where every child in San Antonio has the tools to learn, dream, and thrive.

We are making great things happen in our community TODAY and have mailed over 12,000 books to local children. Magic happens when children receive a book in the mail just for them: board books are for stacking, reading, and playing, while bright illustrations and fun stories engage older children. Curated by Dolly’s experienced librarians, these books capture themes and ideas that speak to every family.

Our partnerships with AVANCE San Antonio, San Antonio Public Library, Family Service, and University Health help us enroll eligible children in Dolly's incredible book gifting program, inspiring early literacy and a love of reading.
