Bihl Haus Arts

Bihl Haus Arts is more than a gallery—we are a citywide creative sanctuary. From our historic campus to community sites across San Antonio, we believe that creative expression is a fundamental part of health, dignity, and human connection. We do not believe in creative isolation, and we never believe in financial barriers.

Every class, workshop, and exhibition we host is 100% free and open to all.

Meeting Our Community Where They Are

We intentionally take art outside gallery walls and bring it directly into the spaces where connection is needed most:

• GO! Arts (Seniors & Creative Aging): Creativity has no expiration date. We bring weekly, accessible visual arts classes directly to seniors across San Antonio, partnering with senior centers throughout the city to foster lifelong learning, purpose, and vibrant community.

• Forward! Arts (Veterans Program): Serving those who have served through both in-person and virtual studio workshops. We provide a calm, grounded environment where veterans can create, decompress, and build camaraderie on their own terms, whether joining us in the studio or connecting from home.

• Onward! Arts (Adaptive Arts for Young Adults): When neurodivergent young adults age out of the school system, critical access to mental health resources, structured routines, and peer communities often vanishes overnight. Onward! Arts bridges that gap. We offer a safe, judgment-free space designed specifically for neurodivergent young adults to maintain vital social ties, express themselves freely, and continue growing through the arts.

• Exhibitions & Cultural Programs: Providing regional Texas artists with a premier platform while keeping admission entirely free to every resident and visitor in our city.
